To Infinity and Beyond - Launching Nextmv Cloud

December 09, 2020

We learned a ton from our time running decision engineering at Grubhub, but the thing that stuck out the most was that building optimization models was not intuitive, simple, or fast.

Today, we're super excited to announce the launch of Nextmv Cloud and API - an even faster (and free!) way to test our prebuilt decision models. Over time, Nextmv Cloud will be the place to test all of the latest and greatest decision science components from our Nextmv brain trust. 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬️🧠

Nextmv Cloud uses our Hop-timization technology under the covers, which lets you build models the same way you build other software - with simple, interpretable computer code.

First up for Nextmv Cloud? Our Fleet Router model, which produces routes for a fleet of vehicles servicing a list of requests that minimize the total distance or time traveled for all vehicles. Whether you are routing Santa's elves to source toy parts or just trying to orchestrate your meal delivery business, the Fleet model makes your operations more efficient. 💰

How does Nextmv Cloud work? Sign up here and login. Play around with the input. Route some reindeer.

Nextmv Cloud lets you run our Fleet Router without having to talk to anyone at nextmv. If you want to customize either the model logic or data structures, you can upgrade to the enterprise version of Hop and be off and running. Click the upgrade button (or email us at support@nextmv.io) and we'll help you get started. The enterprise version of Hop is fully customizable, can optimize any business specification, and does a lot more than routing.

Nextmv Cloud will be our home for all things optimization & simulation. We're starting with our routing solver. Stay tuned for the many improvements and additions. I hear inventory management is hard these days.

We can't wait to hear what you think, so don't hesitate to reach out and provide us with your thoughts or suggestions.

Happy Hopping (and Holidays)!

Carolyn
